A process-serving price is not determined by the city name alone. The assignment, address, urgency, document volume, add-ons, and travel from the nearest available office can all affect the amount shown before payment.
Service plan and number of attempts
The selected plan defines the included attempts: the London/Sarnia basic plan is $85 + HST for 1 attempt, and standard is $125 + HST for up to 2 attempts. The other-cities plan beyond 25 km is $85 + HST for 1 attempt, with applicable travel extra; additional attempts selected in the initial request are $100 + HST each. After all purchased attempts on any paid local or other-cities plan are exhausted without successful service, request one additional attempt for the same job at a selected address already included in the paid order, in that address’s recorded city. We verify that the purchased allowance is exhausted without successful service and confirm the same job, recipient and documents at an address already included in the paid order before issuing a link for one additional attempt at $100 + $13 HST = $113. Repeat mileage and printing are $0 for this approved same-job attempt. The office arranges scheduling; payment does not guarantee successful service. A new city or address not included in the paid order uses a new request with automatic plan and travel calculation. Read the additional-attempt instructions.
Service destination and travel
The existing request page uses the destination postal code to calculate distance from the nearest File & Serve office. This centralized calculator avoids inconsistent city-by-city mileage tables.
Rush or after-hours timing
Urgent requests can require schedule changes, travel at a particular time, or faster coordination. Rush acceptance and any charge are shown through the current request flow.
Printing and document volume
Documents uploaded for physical service may generate printing charges based on the verified page count in the request system.
Additional parties, filing, and affidavit requests
Service Confirmation is included. For our own completed service, affidavit preparation ($25) plus independent commissioning ($25) is $50 + HST; commissioning only for a complete, unsigned same-job affidavit supplied by you is $25 + HST. The actual server must review and swear or affirm the facts before a different authorized commissioner. Other selected add-ons are shown in the verified quote.
HST and payment record
The request page calculates the applicable tax and presents the total before secure online payment. The payment record remains connected to the service request.
